The compact TCI Model 709 was tested using the UCRF’s comprehensive test protocol across its full range of capabilities and using TCI’s proprietary Scorpio Software. These tests included:

  • Monitoring across the range from 20 MHz to 8.5 GHz
  • Spectrum Occupancy and Automatic Violation Detection
  • A range of demodulation modes
  • A wide range of measurement functions
  • Field strength mapping
  • Remote control operation across a wide area network
  • Remote Monitoring of system status and diagnostics.

The demonstration was completed successfully to UCRF’s requirements and the UCRF were particularly impressed with the compact design and deployable options available for the Model 709 CSMS system for monitoring and TDOA geolocation.

TCI is constantly innovating our spectrum monitoring and direction-finding solutions to improve our customers’ operational efficiency and enhance overall spectrum capabilities. Our CSMS product range offers a range of scalable, future-proof solutions that are compact, stand-alone and rapidly-deployable to perform Spectrum Monitoring, TDOA geolocation and AOA direction-finding.

TCI Exhibits at 55th Annual AOC Show

Fremont, CA – December 2018

TCI showcased our Communications Intelligence (COMINT), and our Drone Detection and Location solutions at the 55th Annual Association of Old Crows (AOC) Symposium and Convention in Washington, D.C. November 27 – 29. Approximately 100 attendees visited TCI to learn about the latest advances in our Blackbird COMINT solution developed to address many of today’s most critical Electronic Warfare (EW) challenges.

TCI Completes 2018 Annual Training Seminar

Fremont, CA – October 19, 2018 – TCI International hosted our Annual Technical Training Seminar at our headquarters in Fremont, CA between the 15 – 19th October. This year’s class was the largest and most diverse we have had. More than 40 delegates participated in the training, including representatives from spectrum regulatory agencies in almost 20 countries: Albania, Algeria, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, El Salvador, Swaziland, Equatorial Guinea, Ghana, Guyana, Jamaica, Jordan, Malawi, Mali, Mexico, Mozambique, Nigeria, Tanzania and others.

[btx_gallery images=”1959,1960,1961,1963,1962″ style=”carousel” no_of_columns=”5″][/btx_gallery]

During the Training Seminar, delegates received in-depth training covering direction finding, spectrum monitoring, spectrum management, as well as maintenance and operation of spectrum monitoring equipment. Special topics included the potential impacts of 5G and the need for analytical tools to deal with “big data” as the spectrum becomes more complex; and the challenges of drone detection and implications for spectrum management.

Delegates resolved specific issues relating to spectrum monitoring and management challenges they are experiencing through discussions with peer spectrum professionals and TCI specialists. The training included detailed hands-on instruction for operating spectrum monitoring equipment to enable better use of their equipment.

TCI’s HF Antenna Business Still Strong after 50 Years

Fremont, CA – April 2018 – In 1968, TCI opened its doors as a supplier of high-performance high frequency (HF) antenna solutions for broadcast and general communications. While both the HF antenna market and TCI’s product base has evolved over the past 50 years, TCI reports this portion of its business is still a strong contributor to its overall sales base as evidenced by significant orders received over the last six months.

TCI supplies high-performance high frequency (HF) antenna solutions for broadcast and general communications

TCI’s antennas were the first to be designed using proprietary computer modeling tools – a practice that eventually revolutionized the industry. TCI was also the first to provide pre-fabricated antennas and high power (> 500 kW) electrically slewable dipole arrays integral to its highly successful and innovative antenna product line.

Today, TCI supplies antennas to the U.S. Air Force for ground to air communication applications and to other customers for ship to shore communication and shortwave broadcast applications.  TCI also works with numerous non-government customers to provide HF antenna communication systems that minimize timing-latency in various commercial high-speed communication applications.

Owing to the use of high-quality materials and enduring designs, many of the company’s products delivered over its 50-year history are still in operation today.  TCI’s market-leading customer support department is committed to supporting all TCI products and systems to maximize the useful product life for the benefit of its customers.
