Fremont, CA – The Ministry of Telecommunications and Postal Services (MT&PS) in Juba, Republic of South Sudan has awarded TCI International, Inc. a contract to supply, install and commission a state-of-the-art spectrum monitoring and direction finding system.
This system employs TCI’s latest digital signal processing technology to cover the 9 kHz to 43 GHz frequency range and is fully compliant with ITU-R recommendations. It includes the following components:
- Two mobile monitoring and direction finding stations providing spectrum monitoring and signal analysis over the VLF/LF/MF/HF/VHF/UHF/SHF/EHF frequency ranges.
- One VHF/UHF fixed monitoring and direction finding station to be installed in Juba.
- Portable test equipment, spare parts, training and warranty support.
With the award of this contract, TCI continues to expand its presence and commitment to the East African region. MT&PS South Sudan joins TCI’s existing customer base of telecommunications regulators in Ethiopia, Rwanda and Uganda.
