Di-Monopole® Hybrid Log

  • Highest gain and broadcast bandwidth for a given tower height
  • Combines low tower height of a monopole for low frequency operation with the gain of a dipole log periodic at higher frequencies
  • Minimal ground screen requirements
  • Full 2 – 30 MHz coverage
Contact Us

Product Description

Vertical dipole log periodics offer the advantages of gain and substantial power handling capability without the requirement of a complicated ground screen for impedance matching. Unfortunately, to serve lower frequencies, large tower heights are required since the tower must be somewhat larger than a half wavelength at the lowest operating frequency. This is a penalty in severe environments and near airports.

Monopole log-periodic antennas, on the other hand, are smaller in the vertical dimension. This reduced height is a structural advantage and an operational benefit near airports. However, monopole log- periodic antennas provide less gain and require, in general, a complicated and costly process of installing a ground screen.

Product Description

The 950 COMINT Series platform is TCI’s next generation solution for tactical COMINT applications running TCI’s Blackbird RF signal acquisition, direction finding (DF), geolocation and processing software.
The 950 COMINT Series is modular and scalable and is provided in three different base models with a high degree of customisation to maximise CONOPS flexibility. The 950 COMINT Series leverages TCI’s 50+ years’ RF experience and improves on the current 900-series COMINT platform, providing 80 MHz wide Instantaneous Bandwidth (IBW), faster DF and monitoring scan rates, lower SWaP, ruggedised rack mount and IP67 man portable configurations to optimise deployment capabilities.

Wideband Scan & Simultaneous DF

The 950 COMINT Series searches, detects, intercepts, collects and locates sources of RF energy and simultaneously DFs all signals in the bands of interest using fast-stepping wideband receivers combined with DSP-based frequency channelisation.

Signal Detection and DF

Interlinked fast scanning detection/DF displays combined with powerful signal isolation capabilities enable real-time and post-mission detection and DF of modern signals, including frequency-agile signals. Intercept, locate, identify, and process RF signals with fully integrated solutions.

Product Description

The TCI Model 803 is a compact Direction Finding (DF) subsystem for Communications Intelligence (COMINT) and Electronic Warfare (EW) applications. The 803 integrates seamlessly with TCI’s Blackbird NextGen COMINT / EW platform to provide a complete signal search, collection, direction finding and geolocation solution.

The 803 continuously scans, detects, DFs, and records DF results in tasked frequency channels on a 4 or 40 MHz instantaneous bandwidth. Bandwidth is tunable over the 20 to 3,000 or 20 to 8,000 MHz frequency ranges. The dual 40/4 MHz wideband DF capability enables the Model 803 to detect and capture weak signals in crowded RF environments using the 4 MHz instantaneous bandwidth and detect short-duration, frequency-agile and wide-bandwidth signals using the 40 MHz bandwidth
